Steve is currently the Director of h₂orizons, a South Australia based consultancy with a core focus on supporting the development and growth of the Australian water industry through accelerated technology adoption and international collaboration. He is currently engaged by Arris Pty Ltd to assist in market development, international project opportunities and strategic communications.

Steve has had a long career and widespread experience across a range of policy areas within the South Australian Government, including in the areas of water, economic and industry development, science and innovation, employment and training and urban development and planning.

In the water space, Steve has led a number of key policy areas, including demand and supply planning, water sensitive urban design, stormwater harvesting and re-use, the implementation of the Water Industry Act 2012, the interface between water and the mining sector and the alignment of water policy and regulation and stormwater management planning.

In his most recent previous role in government, Steve had responsibility for facilitating new partnerships with international jurisdictions around water and supporting the entry of South Australian expertise into these markets.

Steve is passionate about developing collaborations and international partnerships around water to ensure that governments, industries and communities are able to respond to the future challenges ahead.
