Caroline Schaefer retired from the South Australian Legislative Council in March 2010 after 17 years in State politics. He has successfully supervised several GRDC projects, and supervised 12 PhD, Master and Honours students. He was awarded the Prescott Medal for Soil Science for his significant contribution to Soil Science. Dr Rengasamy has also delivered the Professor Leeper Memorial Lecture and the Dr Tamhane Memorial Lecture.
